Swimmers and Parents

Congratulations to all swimmers for the fantastic swims at Provincials. We took home 39 medals, finished 5th overall, 3 high points by Larissa, Shane and Brandon. Girls 11-12 relay finished 3rd in the Medley and Free. Awesome.

Moose Jaw swim meet was the best meet of the year. Outdoor 50 meter 8 lane pool; The Weather was perfect, results fantastic and we had a great time and Evan got his time for ManSask. Going Next Year, Definitely!

Long Course Golden Plains Mothers Day weekend.

While some Mom's enjoyed a Brunch or Dinner with their families those who attended the Golden Plains Swim meet were honoured by the results of the hard work their children have produced a Team Cheer a croup Happy Mothers Day Shout Out, a Hand Crafted Flower Pen and a hug....

Congratulations to the Team for some wonderful results. Tiana and Evan qualified for their first 'AA' Championship meet. Janine qualified for her first 'A' meet as well as finishing 200 FLY 2 times in one day.     S-E-L-K-I-R-K   WHAT!  Matthew at 10 has prequalified for the 12 year old 'A' times in a few events.

Everyone on the Team improved 80 -100% times.

Short Course has ended with a BANG!

Congratulations Robin for being selected to the male 13-14 year old Provincial Prospects Team.

Congratulations to the Team of 4 Selkirk Dolphins who qualified for the Manitoba/Saskatchewan championships- Larissa, Raylene, Robin and Brandon. After a fantastic Provincial Championship and Manitoba Games just less than 2 weeks prior, the Team achieved 18 personal best times of 26 events. Honorable mention to Robin, he won 2 gold and 1 silver in the Breaststroke events and a Bronze in the 800 Free as well as earning a spot on the Provincial relay team for the Sunday closing.

The Selkirk Dolphins finished 3rd in the medal counts at Provincials this past weekend in Brandon.

14 swimmers from our club earned a total of 44 medals over 3 days. Check the results on the right side. Honorable mention to Larissa for winning her age group high point.

5 swimmers have qualified to swim at Man Sask March 18 - 21st in Winnipeg.

Go TEAM.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to making our annual Swim Meet a success.

We had 30 swimmers participating from the Dolphins all had great results.

We have 14 swimmers attending provincials in Brandon. Entries are posted on pool deck.

Olympic Torch Relay Team

On January 6th in Gimli at 10:00am on 2nd Ave, eleven Selkirk Dolphin Team members carried the Olympic Torch in the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay. The 20 person Team is representing the SOGO ACTIVE  M anitoba Provincial Team for the Selkirk Community Pool. The Dolphins members are in order of the run - Robin, Brandon, Shane, Gio, Cailyn, Shannon, Larissa and Meaghan, Head Coach Michelle, assistant coach Lynn and parent chaperone Terina, also former swimmer Twylla .

The focus this year will be to build the team numbers going to various qualifying and championship meets and prepare us for Qualifying for the Western Canada Games in 2011 in Kamloops B.C.

Congratulations to the Swimmers who attended the competition in Brandon this past weekend. The team of 15 Achieved 99% personal best times finishing 8th overall out of 13 teams competing.

Larissa attended a swim meet with the University of Manitoba in Grand Forks this past weekend and did great. She had 2 top 8 finishes. Congrats

Awards Luncheon and Windup

Congratulations to all swimmers for their tremendous efforts and achievements this year. Stroke Awards and Record holders will be announced in September. Date to be announced.
