Congratulations Team we took home

Man Sask

Congratulations to Tiana, Austin,Evan and James for GREAT success at the recent Man Sask, Please check swim canada website for results.

 

Novice Meet

Congratulations to all the swimmers 12 and under who attended the St.James Seal Novice Meet. We had a number of first time competitors, I hope that everyone is prepared to work hard during the long course season, and work towards qualifying for Provincial Championships.

Provincial Championships Short Course

Nine swimmers competed at the Manitoba Provincial 'A' Championships in Winnipeg March 2-4, despite the stormy weather, there were over 225 swimmers competing from Manitoba and Kenora.

Congratulations to the Team for winning Small Club Award. We tied in 6th, out of 14 Teams, place with Brandon Blue Fins.

Congratulations to Evan Los who earned 7 Gold and 1 Bronze medal to win High Point in the 15 & over male category.

Max Cockerill finished 3rd overall in the 10 & under male category winning a gold medal in the 100 Butterfly.

Jillian had extremely tough competition in the Female 10 & under category swimming very well earning herself 2 club records and finishing in the top 8 in 4 races.

Austin Lefort and Jayde Wickett won the Best Time and Man Sask draws winning Visa gift cards.

Austin competiting in the 13 year old male category won a Silver medal, Bronze medal and finished in the top 8 in 6 other events. He also qualified for his first Man Sask Championships.

Tiana Arnason, swam great in the 13 year old female category, , winning 2 gold and 2 silver and finished in the top 8 in 4 other races.

Brandon Stamm won 1 gold and 5 silver in the 15 & over male category finishing 3rd in the age group. He also added to his qualified swims for Man Sask.

Honorable mention goes to Janine Starodub and Nicole Wawryk for their strong efforts in the pool achieving many personal best in the large 14 and over field of females.

Congatulations on another successful swim meet.

We hosted the February Chiller Swim meet this past weekend with much success. Thanks to the Many volunteers that helped with the success.

We were host to 214 swimmers from 11 clubs from Manitoba over 2 1/2 days.

Our next meet is Provinical A & 10 and under Championships in Winnipeg March 2-4th.

The Selkirk Dolphins pride themselves in offering a cross training program as well as encourage athletes to participate in other activities in following the guidlelines of the Long Term Athlete Development Model. We are proud to say that we have many athletes who have reached recent success in various sport races at all levels including Provincials and Western Canada Games this Summer.
