To Dolphin swimmers and parents:
With the addition of many new members
has come a series of questions including one about our existing discipline policy.
Due to the nature of where our members
participation takes place (the pool/dryland training) safety is not a compromise.
As we have a discipline policy that requires close attention.
The executive supports any and all
decisions of discipline made by our coaching staff.
- First infraction: The coach will ask the group to clear the pool/dryland
training and explain to the entire class the importance, for all individuals,
to follow the coaches instructions. The swimmer will not be singled
out at this point.
- Second infraction: The coach will ask the swimmer to clear the pool/dryland
training. The coach will explain to the swimmer that he/she must listen
to their instructions. At the coaches discretion the swimmer will be asked
to sit out of, up to and including, the entire practice.
- Third infraction: The swimmer will be asked to clear the pool/dryland training
for the day. A meeting with the coach, swimmer, parent and a member of the
executive will be requested. The swimmer will be asked to abstain from
participation for up to and including 2 weeks.
- Forth infraction: The swimmer will be suspended from any and all participation
until such time as the parent can attend an executive meeting, by invitation
only, to discuss the future of the swimmers participation.
Please have a contact number registered
with the club in the event you child is asked to sit out or the practice as
the coaching staff will not be responsible for the child when they are asked
to leave the pool.
All discipline infractions will be
registered with the executive.
